丁零零，上课铃响了，虞老师大步留星地走进了教室，但手上拿的并不是教科书，而是一个三脚架，一盏酒精灯、一艘纸船、一盒火柴和一杯清水，我心想：虞老师是不是拿错了，拿这些科学器材有什么用呢？这时，虞老师响亮地说：今天我们来做个有趣的实验烧纸船。同学们听了，纷纷议论，有的说：纸碰火就烧，这可是天经地义的事，老师的葫芦里卖什么药呀！有的说：这其中一定有什么奥秘吧！听了他们说的话，我更是丈二和尚摸不着头。
实验开始了，老师先把纸船放到三脚架上，然后，把酒精灯点燃，放到三角架的下面，火舌贪婪地添着船底，过了一会儿，冒出了一缕缕的水蒸气，同学们都瞪大了铜铃似的眼睛，看看朱甜逸，只见她眼睛一眨也不眨地瞪着，好奇极了。纸船好像穿了一件防火衣，怎么烧都还是安然无恙，过了好久，船里的水竟然烧开了，我如释重负，这时，老师问我们这里面有什么奥秘呢？老师请了好几个同学，但他们都支支吾吾，说不出来。虞老师说：烧着纸船要一定的温度，可是因为船里有水，纸船在酒精灯上加温时，纸里的水吸收了大量的热量，水蒸气把热气蒸发，所以尽管纸船架在火苗上，仍然达不到燃烧的温度，如果纸船里的水烧干了，纸船就会燃烧起来。听了这些，我恍然大悟。
科学的奥秘真不简单，不过只要我们仔细观察，就能解开很多科学的奥秘。
